Francesco
He has always shown a surprising passion for painting, giving life to expressive and immediate works. He paints only with oil and spatula, without thinking too much, all in one breath, without second thoughts. The inspiration comes from masters such as Caravaggio, Basquiat, Richter and Warhol: this is reflected in a fusion of classical and contemporary elements.
His art, permeated by a strong Modenese parochialism, tries to add a personal and local touch to popular themes. After the academic laurel crown, and a working life as a jurist, he found in painting an authentic expressive channel. Repeated spatula strokes, now concentrated on a detail or a profile, now more extended and long-limbed, to channel a vibration onto the canvas that breaks down what is normally perceived by the human eye into an unprecedented and visceral balance.
He does not seek the perfection of the particular, even if intelligible in a street lamp or in a writing, but the manual thrill of the smudge, of the asymmetry not sought and yet so precious in an era of digital standardization.
The combination of legal and artistic skills contributes to a singular perspective, making the Works he creates a fascinating combination of tradition and modernity, bridging the gap between his professional world and his innate creativity.
